Canon 1d mk iii shutter count.
The only way to get an accurate shutter count or actuations on canon eos dslr bodies is to have the canon factory.
I m getting it has approximate less then 10 thousand actuations click although i m not so sure.
Eos 1dx and 1d mk iv and several lenses.
For example eos 300d is expected to fail at 40 000 counts but there will be some surpass the lifetime expectancy like my friend has goes beyond 43 000 counts and the camera still works.
A number that is not likely to be made by any non pro shooter.

This is an extremely rugged camera.
Please note that this shutter lifetime value is tested and expected from the canon.
I just checked a 1d mk ii for a friend.
It has a new 10 1 megapixel cmos sensor aps h size with canon s eos integrated cleaning system and a 3 0 inch lcd monitor with canon s live view technology.
Just go out and enjoy it.
How ever it is not known when your shutter will fail you.
I can t remember if the 5d mk iii is one or not as i no longer have mine.

Btw i wouldn t really worry about the shutter useage on a 1ds mk iii.
Canon rates it at 300 000 but i have heard of them doing 1 2 a million.
