Cat5e Wall Jack Not Working

So i live in a new house we moved into it about 5 months ago when i say new i mean it s just build around 2 3 years ago the original owner put in a ethernet wall jack in each room they each consist of cat5 cat5e and coxial jacks now i pulled the backing off and they are all connected to yellow cables and blue cables ethernet cables now i went into my basement and found the yellow. You should have one pair on pins 1 and 2 another on pins 3 and 6 another on pins 4 and 5 and the last on pins 7 and 8. Seeing it s an apartment i d contact your property management company and or speak to. Each jack should have a cable that is running to a central location.

If the wall jacks are using the more standard wire colors you have the brown and orange pairs swapped.
